Credentials
Before Nils Crusberg started teaching saxophone in the Seacoast Area of NH, he studied jazz theory with a private instructor (Joe D'Angelo) in Worcester, MA for three years. He moved to Colorado in 1990 and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. Although Nils was not a music major, he devoted a good portion of his studies to the subject and graduated with a BA in 1995. Nils is a multi-instrumentalist who is skilled on the alto saxophone, clarinet, guitar, and bass guitar. He also has studied other instruments such as the drums, piano, and harmonica, but he is not as well versed on those instruments. Blues, jazz, and reggae are his strongest fields although he has studied classical, funk, afro-pop, latin, and even native american and cajun styles. He has performed on a professional level in Colorado, California, Hawaii, and all over New England. He currently performs and records with Boom Lava and Cocheco Street Jazz. He has written, recorded, and produced three full length LP's.
